LAWRENCEBURG CHEVROLET SPRINTS
Short Wins for 4th time!
Brady Short would come into Saturday night’s race winner of 3 features at Lawrenceburg in 2010. The green flag would drop on the 25 lap feature with Short starting alongside pole sitter John Memmer who already has collected 2 wins to his credit in 2010. After a first lap accident that took out Keith Bradley, the race would go green with Memmer jumping to the lead on lap 1. His lead would be short lived however as Lawrenceburg Chevrolet Sprint Car point leader Andrew Elson would go around Short and Memmer and assume the lead. Elson was able to pace the lead for 4 laps until a caution slowed the field. On the restart, Brady Short was able to get around Elson on the high side and close the door entering turn 1. Short would begin to pull away. Meanwhile, Elson began to race hard with Memmer for the runner up with Memmer eventually taking the second spot. As Short began to close in on lap traffic, Memmer began to reel in the race leader. Memmer would put on a good show trying for the last several laps to catch Brady Short in lapped traffic. When the caution flag flew with 3 laps to go, It cleared the track for Brady Short, and lapped traffic would not be an issue for the remainder of the race.
