$2,000 to win Late Models on a night to recognize our heroes!
Join us this weekend as Florence Speedway honors our true heroes as we celebrate Fire/Police/EMS and Armed Forces night. On Saturday, April 23rd we recognize those who sacrifice themselves for the good of us all. Members of those services with valid id cards will receive a free admission to Saturday nights program. As previously mentioned, the Late Models will be competing in a $2,000 to win Feature event. Also as a part of this night we will see full programs in the Modified and Pure Stock divisions.
Be prepared for 2011 season
For those planning on racing at Florence Speedway in 2011, much advance preparation is needed, and one thing that can be done in advance is filling out your registration and tax forms. Drivers must fill out a new registration and tax form every season. The appropriate forms are available on the track's website on the Rules page. Filling these forms out in advance saves you time at the track and/or payoff window.
Also available on the rules page is the minor release form. Parents must fill out a new form each season for anyone under the age of 18 they wish to take into the pit area. By filling this form out now, you save yourself from filling it out at the gate on race night.
The 29th Annual Sunoco North/South 100 is coming!
We are rapidly approaching our biggest race of the year, the 29th Annual Sunoco Race Fuels North/South 100 presented by Lucas Oil. On August 11th-13th the eyes of the racing world turn to Florence Speedway as we host one of the Crown Jewels of the Dirt Late Model season. This has become one the top races in the country as the biggest names in the sport come to compete to be the North/South 100 champion. This year, Sunoco Race Fuels has come on board, along with Lucas Oil Products, to join Florence Speedway in presenting the $50,000 top prize and impressive $2,500 to start. Anticipation for this event is always high, and this year is no exception. Advance tickets and reserved seats are already on sale and the prime seats are selling quickly. All frontstretch grandstand seats(sections A-J) are reserved. The reserved seating on the backstretch(sections Q-Z) remains the same as years past with rows 1-10 being open seating, and rows 11 and up being reserved. The open seating sections fill up quickly, so the the only way to guarantee yourself a seat for this race is to purchase your seats in advance. As an incentive to get you to purchase your tickets early, advance two day passes are available at a discounted price till July 31st. After that date, including the day of the race, tickets and seats will be available at full price. To order tickets and reserved seats(or check on seat availability), call the track office at (859)493-0034. Mastercard, Visa and Discover cards are accepted for ticket purchases.
